Biographical Notes

Naufus Ramirez-Figueroa (Guatemala City, 1978) is an interdisciplinary artist, working in video, installation, and performance. He obtained a BFA from Emily Carr Institute in 2006 and an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2008. He has had solo exhibitions at Proyectos Ultra Violeta (2010), Des Pacio (2008), and grunt gallery (2007). He has performed at FADO Centre for Performance Art (Toronto), South Side Community Art Center (Chicago), Tribe Arts (Saskatoon), Vancouver Art Gallery (Vancouver), and the Museo de Arte y Diseño Contemporaneo (San Jose, Costa Rica), among others. He was a 2011 fellow at Akademie Schloss Solitude (Stuttgart, Germany). Currently he lives between Mexico City and Vancouver.
